Covid-19 and lower class: impact of pandemic on poor people.

Covid-19 a deadly pandemic, has spread rapidly over the world in no time. It has caused a great catastrophe, causing deaths, illnesses, a major setback in the economy, and whatnot. This virus has spread virtually across the globe, some countries are seriously suffering from this pandemic and for many, the worst is yet to come. Today's blog will highlight the issue of how this deadly virus is affecting the poverty-stricken people.

Nearly millions of people are pushed into extreme poverty. It is very challenging to estimate the rate of increase in poverty due to this pandemic. The developed countries can deal with the economic blow of the coronavirus but there is a possibility that the poorer nations can face unimaginable hardships and deprivation due to this pandemic

Due to the expeditious increase in the spread of the virus, the government imposed lockdowns throughout the country, resulting in unemployment, and the downfall of businesses. The well-off classes are able to maintain their expenses and expenditures. Many are working from home, while some are just being paid without even working. But we do not realize how this is affecting the lower class or poor people. They earn through daily wages and when that source is taken away from them, causing them to stay at home, their source of income becomes zero. They don't know how to work things through and earn for their family and provide them with the most basic necessities of life.

Keeping in view we as humans and as a nation should help out the lower or poor class in our society by providing them with rations and basic necessities of life. It is our responsibility to look after them in this period of crisis and take care of them. The government is also playing its part and facilitating the poverty-stricken members of society. Because together we can.
